Due to the uncertain weather conditions surrounding Hurricane Ike, the Valdosta State football game against Southern Arkansas, which was scheduled to be played Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. in Magnolia, Ark., has been postponed.
No make-up date for the event has been scheduled as of yet, although the two institutions are exploring possible dates for later in the season.
STATEMENT FROM VALDOSTA STATE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR HERB REINHARD
"Due to the concern for safety and the very uncertain weather conditions associated with Hurricane Ike, the Valdosta State University football game with Southern Arkansas University, which was scheduled for Saturday night in Magnolia, Arkansas, has been postponed. The two institutions will work with the Gulf South Conference to try to identify a date late in the season when the game can be rescheduled."
