Harding averages 30.6 points and 450.4 yards of total offense while its defense is giving up 40.9 points and 543.9 yards a game. David Knighton has passed for 2642 yards and 18 touchdowns while Sevohn Greer leads the Bison defense with 71 tackles, including 11.0 tackles for loss.
The 2008 season marks the 27th year of VSU football while the Harding game will be the 305th game in school history. The Blazers have won 206 contests, lost 94 and tied four times, a winning percentage of .684.
Pre-Game Ceremonies to Include Flyover: As part of Valdosta State's pre-game ceremonies, four T-38's from the 560th Fighter Training Squadron, based at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, will preform a flyover following the national anthem. The lead jet in the formation will be flown by Major Mike Brown, Valdosta State University Class of 1997.

The Series: Valdosta State leads 3-1 all-time in a series that dates back to October 14, 2000. The two teams have not met since September 17, 2005 when Harding claimed a 16-13 victory in Searcy, Ark.
VSU claimed victory in the first three meetings of the series, winning the games by an average of 44.3 to 25.0. The series is evenly split with two games having been hosted by each of the two schools. The Blazers claimed a 32-19 victory in the last contest played in Valdosta.
