Ex-UNC coach Bunting to join radio broadcasts

Former North Carolina coach John Bunting is taking his football savvy to the airwaves during the NFL playoffs.

Bunting, a former NFL player and assistant who was fired from UNC after the 2006 season, will make two weekly appearances on WRBZ-850, the radio station announced.

Exact times have not been revealed, but Bunting will broadcast weekly playoff updates and insight each Friday afternoon on The David Glenn Show (3 p.m. to 6 p.m.) and each Monday morning on The Adam Gold Show (6 a.m. to 10 a.m.).

The playoffs begin Jan. 5.

"January is the greatest month in sports with the NFL Playoffs leading up to the Super Bowl," Bunting said in a prepared statement. "I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with the Triangle's Sports Leader, Sports Radio 850 The Buzz."
