UNC vs. LSU in Omaha

North Carolina and LSU resume their College World Series game tonight at 7:08 EST with the Tar Heels leading 2-0.

If Carolina wins tonight, it plays Fresno State Saturday night. Carolina would have to beat Fresno State Saturday and Sunday to advance to the championship round.

The best-of-three championship round games will be held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thursday’s game was postponed by rain and lightning. Dustin Ackley led off the game with a single for UNC and came home on a double by Tim Fedroff. LSU pitcher Blake Martin hit UNC’s Tim Federowicz and Kyle Seager and walked in Chad Flack to score UNC’s second run.
